Since winning first place at the First International Clarinet Competition in Kraków, Poland in 1994, Rebecca Rischin has established an international reputation as a clarinet soloist, pedagogue, and author. She has performed all over Europe, Canada and the United States, and her Carnegie Hall solo debut recital in March 2014 was met with a standing ovation. The Ohio University Clarinet Studio is comprised of outstanding undergraduate and graduate music majors from all over the world. Under the guidance of Professor of Clarinet Rebecca Rischin, each student learns about aspects of clarinet technique, repertoire, reed care, instrument care, musical interpretation, and pedagogy in preparation for a musical career in his or her desired specialization.
